Abstract:
Academic research is experiencing a major shift, prioritizing the real-world impact of scholarly work over mere quantitative output. This seminar will explore diverse strategies for producing meaningful research, incorporating insights from editors, reviewers, and researchers themselves. Attendees will learn best practices to elevate the quality of their work, overcome common challenges, and refine their research focus. The session will foster knowledge-sharing to help participants optimize their projects and enhance research efficiency. Key topics will include generating innovative ideas, implementing research effectively, and broadening the reach of academic outputs. Additionally, the seminar will examine how to bridge the gap between theory and practice, ensuring research addresses real-world problems and creates tangible value.
Dr. V G Venkatesh is a Corporate Trainer and Professor of Supply Chain Management at EM Normandie Business School, France—a triple-crowned (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA) institution. With 24 years of global industry and academic experience, he has worked across Bangladesh, Honduras, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, and as a visiting faculty to leading business schools across globe. A recipient of prestigious scholarships, including Erasmus+ (EU), Waikato International Fellowship (NZ), CIAS Senior Fellowship (Hungary), and the Normandie Foundation Prize (France), he was honored as Best Professor during EM Normandie’s 150th-year celebration. Recognized among ‘global influential scholars in responsible business’ (University of Bath, UK) and nominated for the AACSB "Impact Faculty Member" award by his school, his research appears in top-tier ABDC (A*/A), ABS, and CNRS-listed journals. An Associate Editor/ERB member for leading operations journals including IJOPM, Operations Management Research, and Management Decision and a few more, he is also a certified APICS supply chain professional and a lifetime member of CILT-UK. Passionate about executive education, he has designed programs for multinational corporations, and more, cementing his passion for global supply chains.
